Our 800 square metre workshop area comprises a machine shop, a manufacturing area, a polishing shop and an upholstery shop. Because of the high quality work we produce, it is important that we work in very clean surroundings to preserve the integrity and finish of the pieces that we produce for our clients. Our clean-up routines are legendary and are inherited from our forebears who established Simon West Interiors in 1978 and we are proud to carry on their tradition of high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail which is carried throughout all areas of our work processes.

Office Refurbishment

As a nod to our roots we recently completed a refurbishment of our main office, returning to the colour scheme that was used when Simon West first opened.

Solid surface manufacture

solid surface materials can be used for surfaces which demand the maximum performance levels required in kitchens, bathrooms, and in commercial and residential catering areas. Working with these materials requires a high level of skill to be able to produce the pristine, seamless finish of these materials, which is something that Simon West Interiors are renowned for in the region

Laminating

Lamination is the technique of manufacturing a material in multiple layers, so that the composite material achieves improved strength, stability, sound insulation, appearance or other properties from the use of differing materials. Simon West Interiors can advise on the best use of laminates for specific installations and install them to the highest specification

Ballistic counters and door sets

Our fully equipped workshop can produce a range of bespoke ballistic products to any shape or size to provide the highest level of anti-attack fabrications to clients

Seating

Simon West Interiors can produce a range of seating systems from integrated units to standalone seating, all created and installed to your own specifications

Upholstery

we employ highly skilled upholsterers who work in a variety of fabrics to provide our clients with a total upholstery solution for their projects

Glazed screens and glazing

our architectural solutions team offer an extensive range of acoustic glass partitions for use in offices and commercial buildings.

Suspended ceilings

Simon West Interiors have vast experience of suspended ceiling installation. Suspended ceilings are normally requested for their high specification finish plus their ability to meet the performance and sustainability needs of modern buildings and are available in a range of patterns and colours.

French polishing

French polishing is a wood finishing technique that results in a very high gloss surface, with a deep colour and chatoyancy. French polishing consists of applying many thin coats of shellac dissolved in alcohol using a rubbing pad lubricated with oil. It is a skilful and time consuming process, but the results are remarkable and the French polishers at Simon West Interiors certainly know their craft

Spray painting

spray painting wood might be considered an easy task – and so it is – easy to get wrong! With many years of experience in wood types and their properties, the spray painting team at Simon West can apply a spray finish to virtually any type of wooden surface.
